Aldergrove Airport was renamed
Belfast International Airport
in 1983. Since 2004 the airport has had more than 4.5 million
travellers annually.
Belfast International Airport is
about 16 miles from Belfast city centre. An ideal gateway for
touring Northern Ireland in a rental car, the airport is within easy
driving distance of Lough Neagh, the spectacular Antrim Coast and
the Giant's Causeway.
There are direct flights to UK
airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead, London City,
Glasgow, Edinburgh, Isle of Man, Birmingham, Leeds Bradford and
Manchester. There are also links with a growing number of European
and North American cities including Amsterdam, Berlin, Geneva,
Milan, Nice, New York, Pisa, Rome and Toronto.
Belfast has fine restaurants, pubs - real Irish pubs... try an

There are challenging
golf courses in the city and nearby. Northern Ireland's heritage
is showcased in the superb
Ulster Folk &
Transport Museum . Theatres including the
Lyric and
Grand Opera House. Belfast's
Waterfront

Odyssey Arena complex houses exhibition, sporting, ice hockey

There is no direct rail
link to Belfast city centre but services to and from
Belfast, Lisburn and Londonderry operate from the nearby
town of Antrim, just six miles from Belfast
International Airport. Passengers travelling to
Dublin can connect with the high speed Enterprise train,
which departs from Belfast Central Station. |

Buses |
Airport Express
300 operate a 24 hour service between the
airport and Belfast with buses departing every 30
minutes throughout the day and every 10 minutes at peak
periods. The bus leaves from the bus stop
located opposite the terminal exit. Single one way
ticket cost to the city is £6 |

Carparks |
Short Stay and Rental Car
carparks are beside the terminal buildings. Long Stay
carpark is within walking distance (5 mins) and a
courtesy bus operates to and from the terminal. |
