Belfast City Airport was renamed George Best Belfast City Airport in 2006 in honour of the Ulster-born football legend.

The Airport is just three miles from the centre of Belfast, Northern Ireland.

There are direct flights to UK airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead, London City, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Isle of Man, Birmingham, Leeds Bradford and Manchester. There are also direct links with a growing number of European cities.

Belfast City Airport's new terminal opened on 3 June 2001. More than 1.6 million passengers used the airport in 2006.

Belfast has fine restaurants, pubs - real Irish pubs... try an historical pub tour. There are challenging golf courses, the superb Ulster Folk & Transport Museum , theatres including the Grand Opera House. Belfast's Waterfront Hall provides a spectacular venue for  concerts and arts events and the Odyssey Arena complex houses exhibition, sporting, ice hockey and concert areas.

Train Shuttle bus to / from nearby Sydenham Rail Halt. Twice hourly Translink rail service operates to Central and Victoria Street Stations, Belfast. Hourly service after 18.00 on weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday
Buses Airlink shuttle bus every 20 minutes to and from the Airport terminal to the Belfast Europa Bus Centre in Great Victoria Street, near Belfast's city centre. The Airporter service provides 9 coaches daily to Derry city.
Car parks Short Stay and Rental car parks are beside the terminal buildings. Long Stay car parks are within walking distance  (5 mins). There is a circulating Shuttle Bus from the Long Stay car park.
