was renamed
George Best Belfast City Airport
in 2006 in honour of the Ulster-born football legend.
The Airport is just three miles from the centre of Belfast, Northern
Ireland.
There are direct flights to UK airports including Heathrow, Gatwick,
Stanstead, London City, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Isle of Man, Birmingham,
Leeds Bradford and Manchester. There are also direct links with a
growing number of European cities.
Belfast City Airport's new terminal opened on 3 June 2001. More than
1.6 million passengers used the airport in 2006.
